Paste a British English sentence. Weak forms and lexical schwas (ə) light up in gold — Modern RP, with connected-speech notes for common function words.

Prefer weak forms for function words mid-phrase (a, the, of, to, and, for, can, was…). Final or stressed function words keep a strong form when clear. Lexical schwas come from the course lexicon (Britfone → Modern RP). Connected speech is guided, not exhaustive — names and rare words may be missing.
