I'm a fully qualified ESL teacher from the United Kingdom. I've taught over 2,000 students from around the world, at international schools and online, and I've run speaking clubs for many years, both in groups and one-to-one.
Pronunciation is where I'm happiest. I created The Pronunciation Refinery for learners who already speak English well but want to sound clear, natural and confidently British. The course follows Modern RP, covering vowels, diphthongs, consonants, intonation and connected speech, with workbooks and a video for every lesson.
The course is built around short lessons, regular recaps and plenty of practice. I'm a keen listener and I'm thorough, and I like to find exactly where a sound is going wrong so we can fix it.
I treat language like a muscle: if you don't train it, it weakens.
